GeoMed is a private South African company based in Stellenbosch, established in 2005. GeoMed offers a research and development environment in which concepts and ideas can be turned into validated solutions. GeoMed also facilitates the business development, strategic partner networking and spin-off processes to assure an optimal chance for any new offering to reach steady-state. Our company focus on configuring innovative business models to assure the scalability and sustainability of the initiatives that we work on. To assure quality our 'idea pipeline' and associated business practices are in line with the ISO 13485 Quality Management Process.

Current Successes

GeoMed spun off its medication usage monitoring technology in 2006 to a separate company, Geo-ICT Health (Pty) Ltd. The e-MuM^® product range focuses on assisting clinical and management decision making on primary health care level and is currently being implemented at various clinics across South Africa. In 2007 Diacoustic Medical Devices (Pty) Ltd. was created as a venture between GeoMed, Stellenbosch University and the Industrial Development Corporation to commercialize GeoMed's Automated Paediatrics Cardiac Auscultation algorithm.
